About the role

The BEACON - Brevard Employment Application Center ONLINE is seeking an Adult Education GED instructor to support students in achieving their educational goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in reading, writing, math, and other subjects necessary for obtaining a GED certificate.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with state standards.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Valid Florida teaching certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience working with adult learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of adult education principles and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay

Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.
