Position Responsibilities

  • Complete Adoptions/Permanency units of services such as Child Profiles, Child Profile Addendums, Family Profiles, Family Profile Addendums, Child Preparation, and Finalization.
  • Must complete assignments by the prescribed due date to prevent an infraction.
  • Provide all files received/collected (related to the unit of service).
  • Complete SWAN benchmarks.
  • Complete supervisor requested revisions.
  • Complete 25 hours of training throughout the year and participate in bi-monthly supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work or related field with three (3) or more years of experience in child welfare, adoptions, and/or therapy.
  • Experience with individual and/or group counseling.
  • Experience with SWAN Adoptions Network.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of strength-based approaches to practice.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office proficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize collaborative or team approaches.
  • Ability to travel within Philadelphia and neighboring regions.

Physical Demands

  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position occasionally needs to move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer); Manual dexterity is needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard.
  • Must be able to position self to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must have the ability to navigate stairwells.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees/customers/clients; and must be able to exchange accurate information by perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral and written information.
  • Frequently move files weighing up to 20 pounds throughout the office space.
  • Must be able to participate in fire drills or other drills during an emergency.
  • Work Environment: Normal office environment or residential facility, but also may travel locally to visit clients within their homes, meet with service providers, and/or attend meetings at other community locations.

Pay

$900.00 for completed Child Profiles, Family Profiles, Child Preparation and Finalization.
$550.00 for completed Child Profile Addendums and Family Profile Addendums.
