About the role

The Adolescent Program Supervisor at Van Dyke Teen Lounge is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of youth participants. This role involves close supervision during all activities, supporting the center in reporting requirements, managing administrative tasks, and coordinating program events.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the health, safety and well-being of youth in the program by providing close supervision during all activities.
  • Support the Van Dyke Community Center in the creation and submission of weekly and quarterly reports.
  • Manage all administrative data entry, coordination of participant paperwork, and management of teen participant files.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement program registration, program workshops, and special events with support from part-time teen staff.
  • Aid in the marketing and distribution of program information; compile program statistics as needed.
  • Help develop, implement, and monitor the program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Establish and maintain connections with service providers in a range of settings, including other community-based organizations (CBOs), schools, and partnerships.
  • Attend trainings and workshops related to teen programming.
  • Maintain sanitary habits in accordance with CDC guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of experience working with teens and youth, including planning and facilitating activities.
  • Good written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Computer literacy in other Microsoft Office Suite products.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Social Work, Counseling).

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and best practices in youth programming.

Schedule

Part-Time (27 hours per week) (Monday-Friday 4PM-9PM)
