Adolescent Counselor – Part-Time

Schedule & Hours

  • Part-Time, approximately 15–20 hours per week
  • Evening availability required (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
  • Weekend hours available based on program needs and candidate availability

Position Overview

The Adolescent Counselor will be responsible for:

  • Providing individual outpatient therapy to adolescent clients
  • Facilitating group therapy sessions for adolescents
  • Conducting clinical assessments and developing person-centered treatment plans
  • Collaborating with families, schools, and referral sources to support client progress
  • Monitoring behavioral and emotional needs and adjusting treatment as clinically indicated
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Participating in clinical meetings and care coordination
  • Supporting program goals and performing additional clinical duties as assigned

Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Ability to engage teens in meaningful therapeutic work
Effective communication with families and support systems
Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
Commitment to ethical standards and clinical best practices

Qualifications

  • Required: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field
  • Completion of a clinical-based internship or practicum
  • PREFERRED: Experience providing therapy to adolescents in outpatient settings
