Admixture Technician - PRN Float

About the Role

The Admixture Tech II prepares hazardous and nonhazardous medications in a clinical setting, ensuring sterile techniques, biological safety, and proper handling of antineoplastic agents. They maintain inventory, document compliance, and collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for accuracy and suitability.
• Perform calculations and prepare medications accurately and timely.
• Ensure aseptic preparation with proper PPE usage.
• Maintain detailed records, logs, and temperature monitoring for medications.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and reconciliation.
• Handle hazardous waste per regulations and ensure environmental safety.
• Collaborate with departments to track patient medications and minimize treatment disruptions.
• Support training, documentation, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Certified pharmacy technician (or equivalent), preferably CPhT.
• Minimum one year of pharmacy or admixture experience; IV experience preferred.
