Admixture Tech II (Float, PRN)

About the role

The PRN Admixture Tech II Float Pharmacy Technician supports 9 clinics from Sebastian to Boca Raton, FL. This position involves preparing hazardous and non-hazardous agents under supervision, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Review medication orders and prepare sterile and non-sterile medications accurately and promptly.
  • Perform mathematical calculations for drug measurements.
  • Understand and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain records and logs related to clinical research, drug handling, and inventory management.
  • Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies and drugs.
  • Assess temperature monitoring systems and document drug temperatures.
  • Collaborate with departments to track and order patient medications.
  • Document and report drug loss and initiate replacements.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous drugs and waste materials according to regulations.
  • Complete required education and training.
  • Support team objectives and FCS initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Professional pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) from PTCB, preferably.
  • One year experience as a pharmacy or admixture technician, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Iv sterile admixture experience, preferred.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel 75%-100% weekly.

Schedule

3 eight-hour shifts per month, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
