Schedule

Full‑time position, Monday‑Friday 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; Wednesdays 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Pay

Starting base rate $17.50 per hour. Pay range $17.50 – $30.14 hourly. $3,500 sign‑on bonus (requires a two‑year commitment).

About the role

Admitting Representative handling Inpatient Registration at the Outpatient Surgery Center (OPSC) in the Children’s Hospital, Battle building. The role ensures accurate, timely patient registration and check‑in, supporting clinical care and revenue‑cycle readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone, setting the tone for each visit.
• Collect and confirm demographic and insurance information to support clean registration and downstream billing.
• Perform verification functions according to scheduling/registration standards and unit guidelines.
• Complete visit documentation accurately and within expected timeframes.
• Manage cash collections as needed and respond to patient and family questions with professionalism and empathy.
• Provide patients with paper and electronic tools required by clinical teams to help the visit run smoothly.

Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure: None required.
• Physical Demands: prolonged sitting; frequent bending/stooping; reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); repetitive motion (computer keyboard); ability to lift/push/pull 20‑50 lb; proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and legible writing.
