Admitting Representative, Admitting Per Diem
Job Summary
The Admitting Representative is responsible for assisting with patients and families in a prompt and courteous manner. This individual consistently secures accurate demographic information to create a complete medical record.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of working in registration within a hospital setting or equivalent.
- PREFERRED: One (1) year of working in admitting/registration in a hospital setting.
Education
- REQUIRED: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- PREFERRED: Associate degree in healthcare related field.
Specialized Skills
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
- Ability to work with computers, faxes, multiline phones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills, strong team player.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Proficient skills in using Microsoft Office e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
