Admitting Clinical Coordinator

About the role

This position is part-time, working weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with shifts of 12 hours (7:00pm-7:30am) and 8 hours (11pm-7:00am). Remote work may be considered after successful completion of required orientation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate timely admission of adult patients to Highland Hospital (HH).
• Interact collaboratively with physician/provider teams, staff from the Emergency Department, Inpatient and Ambulatory areas, Wilmont Cancer Center, Transfer Center, and Bed Management to ensure timely decision-making relative to disposition and care needs of people requiring inpatient placement.
• Assign patients to appropriate units based on clinical judgment and care needs.
• Act as a liaison between physicians/providers, charge nurses, CRA’s, managers, directors, and Bed Management staff to facilitate the admission of acute care patients.
• Afford internal and external customers a positive experience by providing customer-friendly service.

Requirements

• Fulfilled the education requirements to be a licensed RN in NYS; BSN preferred.
• 3-5 years recent acute care hospital or comparable experience.
• Valid, current NYS RN license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Excellent communication and critical thinking skills; Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $37.13-45.00. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
