The Admissions Specialist 1 provides administrative and operational support for the UCSF School of Dentistry's admissions and recruitment functions. Under general supervision, the incumbent coordinates applicant communications, processes and maintains admissions records, prepares application materials for committee review, and supports recruitment and outreach activities for prospective students.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and processes applications from prospective students.
- Coordinates communication with applicants regarding admissions requirements, application procedures, and enrollment processes.
- Maintains confidentiality and ensures compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for applicants, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Supports the management of applicant data, including interview coordination and admissions events.
- Assists with admissions committee activities.
- Contributes to a positive applicant experience and supports the recruitment of a diverse and highly qualified student body.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
- Basic knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
