Admissions Representative Registrar PRN

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional Registrar for our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for ensuring that patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner. You will provide accurate demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate coding, billing, and claims submission.

Qualifications

• Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors' office)
• BLS may be required as per facility standard

What You Will Do

• Facilitate patient admissions by reviewing all information with your patient, completing appropriate forms, and copying insurance cards and photo identification
• Collect and document all collection actions for your patient’s co-payment and deductibles at the time of service and issue appropriate payment receipts
• Prepare, collect, and deliver your patient charts and pull previous medical records
• Manage the reception area and greet your patients and family members in a professional manner

Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and position. TCA Special Surgery Center is located in the Texas Center for Athletes, in San Antonio, Texas. We perform over 350 cases a month. Our Specialties are in orthopedic surgery, hand surgery, ENT, neurotology, podiatry, and plastic surgery. Our center is located near I-10 and highway 410 and 1604.
