About the role
Under direct supervision, recruit qualified candidates for the college’s academic programs in a compliant, appropriate, and professional manner. Provide basic information, routine guidance, and assistance to potential students on matters related to enrollment and the admissions process. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, ensuring appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Unitek College, and/or relevant regulatory agencies. Uphold enrollment standards by complying with related governmental regulations and standards of accreditation, enrolling only students who meet eligibility requirements as published in the college’s catalog.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and motivation, concern for students, teamwork, excellent time management skills, and the work ethic to follow through on commitments to students and the organization. Use company-approved admissions materials during telephone calls, interviews, and the enrollment process. Observe and adhere to all company policies and best practices. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action.
Responsibilities
- Prospect/Student Interaction (90%)
- Building Relationships
- Take inquiry calls from potential students interested in programs—including entrance requirements, curricula, and academic standards—and encourage qualified prospects to schedule an interview.
- Return web inquiries and calls promptly, providing accurate information about programs, entrance requirements, curricula, and academic standards.
- Make outbound phone calls to potential students who have expressed interest in attending the institution. Participation in organized phone-a-thons and dialing campaigns is required.
- Initiate unsolicited leads and generate new business when not responding to inquiries or working with current prospective students.
- Follow up on inquiries that fail to schedule or show for an interview.
- Follow up with interviews that did not progress in the enrollment process and with dropped/cancelled students to resolve issues or address concerns.
- Interviews
- Schedule and conduct student interviews, ensuring any reference to financial aid complies with company policy.
- Use only approved company materials during the interview process and conduct interviews according to stated policies.
- Explain program offerings and match the college’s benefits to the student’s needs, desires, qualifications, and objectives.
- Ensure admissions management meets with potential students to discuss motivations and concerns about attending the college.
- Building Relationships
- Mentoring and Guidance (5%)
- Provide basic information, advice, and assistance to students on available programs and eligibility requirements using established procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between students and campus, assisting with enrollment forms and ensuring compliance.
- Partner with the finance team to ensure high levels of customer service during the transition and follow up on financial aid packaging.
- Mentor and advise students to help them identify their unique skills and interests.
- Address easily resolved inquiries, questions, or concerns; refer more complex issues to experienced staff.
- Administrative (5%)
- Accurately account for all inquiries and admissions activity.
- Complete daily activity reports and ensure pre-start paperwork is accurate and timely.
- Maintain current and accurate records, including information stored in the system.
- Attend and complete all required training for the position.
- Attend meetings as directed by a supervisor.

- Regular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site is an essential function of this position.
- This role requires on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by local leaders.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of customer service, telemarketing, or sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill company key behaviors.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job on a weekly basis.
