About the Role

Responsible for recruiting qualified applicants for admission to the University in accordance with state and federal accreditation and institutional policies and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards. The Admissions Representative manages time and inquiry resources to generate interest in our programs, conducts a high volume of prospective phone contacts to secure appointments, and facilitates interview activities. This role includes follow-up with unresolved interviewees and future class applicants, and collaboration with Student Support Services to ensure student success and matriculation.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and completely explain educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial considerations to students, parents, and educators.
  • Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and meet weekly performance goals using approved recruitment policies and formats.
  • Make prompt, effective contact with inquiries and redirect unqualified candidates based on incompatible career goals.
  • Secure new inquiries (Personally Developed Referrals) by asking phone and in-person contacts about referrals of others who may be interested in programs offered.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine the appropriateness of candidates based on career goal compatibility.
  • Accurately forecast projected new students periodically for admissions leadership.
  • Conduct follow-up meetings, at a minimum of monthly, with all applicants to ensure successful matriculation.
  • Assist other personnel and departments with data collection and problem-solving.
  • Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities, including open houses, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, community outreach, and employer partnerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and one year of successful admissions or sales experience, OR associate’s degree and three years of successful admissions or sales experience. (Salary level will be based on degree level.)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
