About the role

Under direct supervision, recruit qualified candidates for the college's academic programs in a compliant, appropriate, and professional manner. Provide basic information, routine guidance, and assistance to potential students on matters related to enrollment and the admissions process. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, ensuring appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Unitek College, and/or relevant regulatory agencies. Uphold enrollment standards by complying with related governmental regulations and standards of accreditation, enrolling only students who meet eligibility requirements as published in the college's catalog.

Demonstrate a positive attitude and motivation, concern for students, teamwork, excellent time management skills, and the work ethic to follow through on commitments to students and the organization. Use company-approved admissions materials during telephone calls, interviews, and the enrollment process. Observe and adhere to all company policies and best practices. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action. All activities will be monitored to ensure consistency with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect/Student Interaction (90%)
    • Building Relationships
      • Take inquiry calls from potential students interested in learning about programs, including entrance requirements, curricula, and academic standards, and encourage qualified prospects to schedule an interview.
      • Return web inquiries and calls promptly, providing accurate information about programs, entrance requirements, curricula, and academic standards.
      • Make outbound phone calls to potential students who have expressed interest in attending the institution. Participation in organized phone-a-thons and dialing campaigns is required.
      • Initiate unsolicited leads and generate new business when not responding to outstanding inquiries or working with current prospective students.
      • Follow up on inquiries that fail to schedule or attend an interview.
      • Follow up with interviews that did not progress in the enrollment process and with dropped/cancelled students to resolve issues or address concerns.
    • Interviews
      • Schedule and conduct student interviews, ensuring any reference to financial aid complies with company policy.
      • Use only approved company materials during the interview process and conduct interviews according to stated policies.
      • Explain program offerings and match the college’s benefits to the student’s needs, desires, qualifications, and objectives.
      • Ensure admissions management meets with potential students and is informed about their motivations and concerns.
  • Mentoring and Guidance (5%)
    • Provide basic information, routine advice, and guidance to students on available programs and eligibility requirements using established procedures.
    • Serve as a liaison between the student and campus, assisting with enrollment forms and ensuring compliance.
    • Partner with the finance department to ensure a high level of customer service during the transition to financial aid packaging.
    • Mentor and advise students to help them identify their unique skills and interests.
    • Address easily resolved inquiries, questions, or concerns; refer more complex issues to experienced staff.
  • Administrative (5%)
    • Accurately account for all inquiries and admissions activity.
    • Complete daily activity reports and ensure all pre-start paperwork is accurate and timely.
    • Maintain current and accurate records, including information stored in the system.
    • Attend and complete all required training for this position.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by local leaders and attend meetings as directed by a supervisor.
