Admissions/Records Evaluator II
Lead-level position responsible for implementing admission, transfer, and graduation requirements for the District. Assists students in achieving degree or certificate objectives and resolves academic problems through interpretation of policies, rules, and procedures. Provides lead evaluation responsibilities for admissions, transfer, and graduation requirements in the admissions and records office, including supervising classified employees.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates student transcripts for credit acceptability, admissions, and graduation.
- Works with counselors to resolve graduation petitions; distributes, explains, receives, and checks graduation and other petitions for completion and accuracy.
- Uses enterprise resource planning (ERP) system software for Admissions/Records data, including data entry, retrieval, degree map maintenance, transcript review and printing, external transcript review, and coursework data entry.
- Researches, interprets, and applies complex policies, regulations, procedures, and guidelines related to transfer credits and graduation requirements.
- Compiles initial athletic eligibility.
- Performs clerical and technical duties involving student registration, admissions, veterans' affairs, and records maintenance.
- Handles public contact tasks, communicating with students, staff, and others to disseminate or explain information.
- Aids students in registration and admission procedures by providing information about admissions, credit transfer, and courses offered.
- Prepares and maintains student files, reviews records, and compiles reports.
- Processes records, posts and processes grades, and sends transcripts to students and colleges.
- Composes and types letters, routine correspondence, and graduation certificates.
- Processes Social Security number changes and works with counselors to resolve graduation petitions.
- Verifies student compliance with unit requirements, grade point average, and transfer rules for specific programs.
- Compiles data for statistical and other reports on registration, admission, veterans' affairs, and records for District and external agencies.
- Oversees and leads the work of temporary classified staff and other classified employees.
Requirements
- Four years of experience related to the duties of the position.
- One year of college-level course work may substitute for one year of required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- For current Los Rios CCD employees: Two years of experience as an Admissions/Records Clerk II/III or one year as an Admissions/Records Evaluator I.

Education must be from an accredited institution. One year of experience equals 12 months at 40 hours per week; part-time experience will be converted to full-time equivalent. One year of education equals 30 semester units.

Eligibility for benefits requires a permanent assignment of 0.50 FTE or greater. FTE is calculated as (hours per week ÷ 40) × (months worked ÷ 12).
