Admissions Nurse (RN Hospice)
Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency with potential patients, hospice eligibility and meeting with families in assessment of their needs
- Maintains confidentiality and safety of patient/client clinical records
- Completes assigned admissions and patient care orders in an effective and timely manner
- Communicates effectively with physician(s), referral sources, patient, family, and hospice interdisciplinary team regarding the new admission of a patient
- Records that may be relevant to determine hospice eligibility
- Communicates effectively with operational, clinical and sales leadership regarding status of pending referrals
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted RN licensed in the state of operation
- 2+ years of experience in a hospice, home health, or other healthcare service delivery system setting
- Current CPR certification
- Current Driver's License and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
- MS: At least one-year full-time experience as an RN. However, three (3) years full-time clinical experience in a healthcare setting as an LPN may be substituted for the one-year full time experience as an RN
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and accountability
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Pay and Benefits
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment.
