Admissions Director

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and case managers to generate referrals.
• Present the facility and its services to the local healthcare community in a positive and professional manner.
• Spend at least 75% of working hours in the community developing referral partnerships and promoting facility services.
• Maintain an 80% conversion rate from referrals to admissions.
• Support facility goals to achieve and maintain 90% occupancy or meet census targets.
• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.
• Coordinate with the Administrator and leadership team regarding current admissions and census strategy.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
• Participate in community outreach events, health fairs, and public speaking engagements.
• Assist with managed care pre-admission cost analysis and insurance contract coordination when necessary.
• Prepare and distribute daily census reports to leadership.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of resident and facility information.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Two or more years of college preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in Skilled Nursing (SNF), Long-Term Care, Healthcare Marketing, Admissions, Social Services, or Community Relations.
• Skills: Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of hospital referral processes and healthcare case management preferred.

Schedule

Monday – Friday Occasional weekend availability for events or admissions needs
