Admissions Counselor - Virginia

Responsibilities

• Lead the treatment team alongside providers, care navigators, and administrators.
• Coordinate decisions about the member’s treatment based on expertise in addiction and recovery.
• Focus on providing consistent, high-quality counseling activities during intake assessments.
• Provide individual support as needed, including crisis intervention, referrals, and coordinating with Care Navigators.
• Utilize custom EMR to document members' progress efficiently and value-additively.
• Evaluate treatment appropriateness for every member entering the program and participate in compliance activities.
• Participate in internal and external training to maintain licensure and document care coordination needs.
• Represent the treatment team in discussions regarding difficult members and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Required licensure or certification: Behavioral health licensure including LPC, LMHC, LMFT, LSATP, LCSW, and ability to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.
• Minimum two years of experience leading group therapy in a SUD setting.
• High comfort level with technology, including EMR, email, software, and mobile apps.
• Deeply invested in member success, authentic, caring, and inspiring, with appropriate boundaries and accountability.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships with people.
• Ability to make clinical decisions that are objective, demonstrate sound judgment, and reflect Groups Recovery System and harm reduction philosophy.
• Committed to a high ethical standard in everything done.
• A team player willing to prioritize team over self.
• Minimum two years of experience completing intakes in a SUD setting.
• Access to reliable internet and telephone services with download speeds over 40 Mbps and upload speeds over 10 Mbps, and a strong WiFi signal from your remote work location.

Pay

$33.39/hr
