About the Role

This position provides initial information about WashU and counseling support for prospective students and their families related to admissions, financial assistance, and the enrollment process.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts on-campus information sessions for prospective students and families.
  • Supports visit experience by supervising and managing day-to-day tasks of student staff serving in the assigned area.
  • Conducts interviews and family meetings with prospective students.
  • Works with Visit Experience Coordinators to deliver special group visits and programs on campus.
  • Supports recruitment and selection efforts of the department.
  • May produce and maintain content for official and related departmental social media accounts under the direction of the Digital Marketing and Communications Strategist.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with attendance at on-campus events, which may occur during evenings and weekends. Occasional travel to off-campus events (less than 10% of time) and work outside normal business hours are required. Must assist with logistical tasks, including transporting materials to events.

Physical Effort

  • Ability to staff welcome kiosks for long periods, proactively approaching visitors and serving them immediately upon arrival; much of the time is spent standing.
  • Ability to lift/move items up to 20 lbs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity and/or experience with specialized computer programs, such as CRM technology.
  • Basic understanding of the function of the Undergraduate Admissions office.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Pay

$19.29 - $29.91 / Hourly
