Territory

Manage an assigned geographic territory covering Connecticut, Rhode Island, and western Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies and activities to meet enrollment goals within the assigned territory.
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with high school counselors, secondary school faculty, independent educational counselors, and other key partners.
  • Represent Champlain College at high school visits, college fairs, community events, information sessions, and other recruitment programs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Champlain's academic programs and student experience to effectively communicate the College's value.
  • Guide and support prospective students and families throughout the college search and enrollment process via phone, email, social media, virtual engagement, and traditional mail.
  • Affiliate with the planning, coordination, and execution of on- and off-campus recruitment events and special programs.
  • Read, evaluate, and make admission recommendations on several hundred applications annually in accordance with College policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of high school visits, recruitment activities, and territory management efforts.
  • Participate in departmental projects, initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in college admissions or sales.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences including students, families, educators, and community partners.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with standard office technology and the ability to learn and effectively use CRM systems and other technology platforms.

Working Arrangements

  • Full-time, on-campus position based at our main campus in Burlington, VT, with an assigned recruitment territory covering Connecticut, Rhode Island, and western Massachusetts.
  • Requires travel and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support high school visits, presentations, college fairs, and community events.
  • Extensive travel expected during peak recruitment seasons, particularly fall and spring.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $48,000 - $51,000.
