Admissions Counselor (Temporary)
Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the Admissions Counselor provides comprehensive, one-on-one, admissions and enrollment services to applicants to the College using results from placement, assessment, and career interest testing. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with prospective and current students through various communication channels, assisting in selecting the program of study that best fits their educational needs and professional goals, participating in special campus events, delivering presentations, conducting campus tours, representing the College during visits, advising prospective applicants on the admissions process, interviewing and evaluating credentials, and providing individual and group college and career skills counseling/advisement.
Maintains accurate and confidential records of every student interaction including in-person visits, phone consultations, and online coaching. Stays abreast of current issues and trends related to college students' enrollments, academic successes, and retention. Carries out other miscellaneous office duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least one (1) year of admissions advising and outreach experience, or equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications include experience related to the development and dissemination of information material.
