About the role
Elizabethtown Community & Technical College (ECTC) is seeking an Admissions Counselor I for the TRIO Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) program. The UBMS program assists first-generation, low-income high school students in preparing for college and careers in STEM. This position serves students from North Hardin, Nelson Co., Thomas-Nelson, LaRue Co., and Washington Co. high schools. The Admissions Counselor I will provide student services and assist the UBMS Program Director with meeting grant objectives. This is a five-year grant program eligible for renewal in 2027.
Responsibilities
- Assist with facilitation, curriculum development, and implementation of all aspects of the UBMS grant, including Summer Academy.
- Plan and provide direct student services and workshops to meet participants' educational, social, emotional, and cultural development needs.
- Assist with recruitment of program participants, open houses, and parent engagement.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain student data including transcripts, report cards, test scores, and contact logs to support grant reporting.
- Create student files for case management and develop Individualized Action Plans (IAPs) in collaboration with the director, students, parents, and high school personnel.
- Foster internal and external relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, students, affiliated high schools, and community partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (education, leadership, math, science) and 1 year of experience, or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license (required to lead outreach events in the community).

Pay
