Admissions Coordinator Weekends Only
Vista Manor, a Generations Healthcare facility in San Jose, is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for weekend shifts.
About the role
The Admissions Coordinator obtains required information and admits residents efficiently, following established policies and supervisor directives.
Responsibilities
- Receive and follow work schedules and instructions from supervisors.
- Assist in interviewing residents, guardians, and sponsors to obtain admission information and signatures.
- Administer and prepare identification records for residents according to policies.
- Maintain accurate records of available beds.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in compliance with established procedures.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with interdepartmental personnel and other facility departments.
- Provide residents with an admission information packet (e.g., resident rights, privacy practices, admissions contract).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
- On-the-job training provided for admission procedures.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the public.
- Knowledge of computer use, data input, retrieval, and output functions.
Pay
$23–$25 per hour.
Schedule
Weekends only: Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
