Responsibilities
- Completes all assigned tasks in a timely manner as instructed by supervisor.
- Adheres to work schedules and performs assigned tasks.
- Creates and maintains a warm, respectful, and positive environment for residents and staff.
- Treats residents, family members, visitors, and colleagues with courtesy and respect.
- Maintains acceptable attendance and adheres to employee policies.
- Notifies facility management of tardiness or absences.
- Ensures privacy and confidentiality of residents' information.
- Documents and follows up on inquiries from prospective residents and their families.
- Conducts tours of the facility and collects necessary information for follow-up.
- Prepares and maintains a model room for potential residents.
- Maintains knowledge of the served market areas and major referral sources.
- Gathers and enters demographic or clinical information from social workers and nurses.
- Verifies insurance coverage and coordinates admission contracts.
- Explains accommodation changes, billing policies, and resident rights to families.
- Ensures new admissions are ready for arrival and reports any issues.
- Assists in contacting families after admission and discharge to assess satisfaction.
- Supports the Admissions Director in organizing and executing community events.
- Reports and addresses structural, equipment, and furniture defects.
- Participates in in-service training and continuing education programs.
Requirements
- College degree preferred.
- Experience in sales, particularly in health care services, products, or pharmaceuticals is desirable.
- Familiarity with long-term care and/or health care services is useful.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Able to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Able to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents.
- Able to work collaboratively with others and lead teams.
- Able to communicate effectively with residents, family members, visitors, and staff.
- Able to handle residents based on their current maturity levels.
- Able to seek out and incorporate new methods and principles into existing activities.
- Able to relate information about residents' conditions.
- Able to travel locally for outside sales calls, including overnight travel.
