About the Role
This position ensures all clients are effectively triaged and evaluated for appropriateness for admission to Victory Bay Recovery Center. Clients who do not meet eligibility criteria are referred to an appropriate treatment center.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the admissions process for new clients.
- Collaborate with PAC Director/Admissions Manager to determine financial and clinical eligibility for incoming admissions.
- Ensure all clients who are not eligible for admission are referred to a partnering treatment center.
- Screen clients according to company criteria and accept or reject clients appropriately.
- Coordinate with Medical, Clinical, and Operations departments to facilitate admissions.
- Coordinate the referral and intake process with appropriate staff.
- Assess appropriate level of care based on pre-screen assessment, stated need, and insurance.
- Execute follow-up procedures for all non-converted admissions and referrals.
- Maintain communication with Outreach Coordinators, referral sources, families, patients, and staff.
- Assist with training new Admissions Coordinators and Patient Access Coordinators.
- Assist with Admissions/Outreach data management, including bed-board and referral spreadsheets.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Provide on-call/after-hours phone coverage and availability.
- Accept new tasks as they arise and explore opportunities for growth within the organization.
- Assist and cover other staff when necessary to maintain high productivity and efficiency.
- Take on additional responsibilities as the company grows to ensure departmental success.

Working Conditions
- Air-conditioned and well-illuminated office environment, with occasional outdoor responsibilities.
- May handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with constant, potentially interruptive interactions.
- Work may be stressful due to high workflow levels.
- Flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, to accommodate client needs.
- Participation in educational training, orientations, or compliance programs as needed.
- Occasional lifting of moderately heavy office supplies (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record software.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR Certification and Narcan Certification.
- Experience: 2-4 years in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated experience in customer service, operations, staffing, and teamwork preferred.
- Skills: Working knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment; computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
