About the role
Freire Charter High School, part of Freire Schools network, is located at 2027 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Founded in 1999, Freire Schools aims to prepare students from underserved communities for college success. Responsibilities
- Lead tours of the school and represent Freire Charter High School at admissions fairs, school presentations, and community events
- Lead admissions presentations at local school and city-wide school fairs
- Answer communications from families around admissions deadlines and requirements
- Create, process, and send mailings to prospective families throughout the school year with important admissions information
- Track overall school enrollment numbers and conduct student wait list pulls as needed
- Maintain the admissions database and keep track of student records, including processing student enrollment packets and collecting all necessary documents from prospective families
- This role may include a variety of other non-admissions related or operations tasks
Who you are
- The Admissions Coordinator is a key representative of Freire Schools, making a compelling pitch to both students and adults
- You must have an associate's degree or higher and strong organizational and analytical skills
- You should be professional, personable, and welcoming to current and prospective students and their families
- You are willing to perform various tasks as needed in support of the extended Freire community, including occasional weekend or evening events
- Experience with databases, student information systems, and Microsoft Excel is preferred
Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000. We offer a competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, and more. Pennsylvania employees are enrolled in Freire’s 403(b) retirement plan which includes a 5% contribution from Freire.
