About the role

The Grier School, an all-girls’ private boarding/day school outside of Tyrone, PA in the mountainside village of Birmingham, has openings due to growing enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year. Grier is internationally and nationally known, with class sizes averaging 8-10 students. The school features elite academics, a STEM program ranked in the top 15% of all schools in Pennsylvania and top 20% in the nation, and is the #1 school in Pennsylvania for the arts and the #1 school in the United States for equestrian sports.

This is a year-round position with very generous leave.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain communications with prospective families throughout the admissions funnel, including prospects, inquiries, applicants, admits, and enrolled students, by leveraging personal relationships and database management.
• Coordinate and lead admissions visits, re-visits, and shadow days.
• Develop curriculum and train student ambassadors to ensure a dynamic and relationship-centric ambassador program.
• Develop initiatives with feeder organizations to build a pool of prospects.
• Coordinate with educational agencies and other institutions to ensure accurate and up-to-date school information for recruitment purposes.
• Travel and/or represent Grier School at recruiting functions locally, domestically, and potentially abroad.
• Act as a Designated School Official (DSO) to comply with SEVP’s reporting mandates regarding student records in SEVIS.
• Work effectively with teenagers and genuinely enjoy their company.
• Understand and support Grier’s school policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Requirements

• Fluent Mandarin required.
• Willingness to travel.
• 4-year degree.
• Ability to work with, and a genuine liking of, teenagers.
