Admissions Associate
About the Role
The Webb Schools seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and relationship-oriented Admission Intern to support the Admission Office during the fall recruitment season. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in education, admissions, communications, marketing, or student affairs to gain hands-on experience in a highly selective independent boarding and day school. Working closely with the admission team, the Admission Intern will play an active role in supporting prospective students and families throughout the admission process while gaining exposure to recruitment, applicant evaluation, event planning, and enrollment operations.
Position Details
- Reports To: Director of Admissions
- Status: Part-Time, Temporary, Non-Benefited (Hourly)
- Dates: August 1, 2026 – November 15, 2026 (Dates are subject to change)
- Schedule: Approximately 20–25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, generally between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Could include additional opportunities for evening and weekend hours for recruitment events.
Responsibilities
- Conducting admission interviews with prospective students and families.
- Writing interview summaries and evaluations.
- Responding to inquiries from prospective families via phone and email.
- Assisting with applicant file management and data entry in Slate (CRM).
- Supporting admission events, tours, and virtual programming.
- Conducting tours and information sessions.
- Assisting with recruitment communications and outreach initiatives.
- Supporting daily office operations and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in education, admissions, customer service, communications, student leadership, or event planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Comfort working with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRMs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in education, admissions, customer service, communications, student leadership, or event planning preferred.
- Familiarity with independent schools is beneficial but not required.
