Position Summary: Admissions Assistant We are seeking an organized, personable, and detail oriented Admissions Assistant to support our Admissions and Marketing team and help coordinate a smooth admission experience for patients and families. The admission experience sets the tone for a patient's entire stay. In this role, you will help ensure that referrals, documentation, communication, and admission preparations are handled accurately and efficiently from the initial referral through the patient's arrival. The Admissions Assistant works closely with Admissions, Nursing, Therapy, the Business Office, hospital case managers, referral sources, patients, and families to help keep everyone informed and the admission process moving smoothly. Key Responsibilities Support the Admissions team with incoming referrals and potential admissionsGather, review, and organize referral and admission documentationHelp ensure required information is received prior to admissionCommunicate with hospitals, case managers, referral sources, patients, and familiesAssist with insurance, demographic, and admission information as neededPrepare admission paperwork and admission packetsHelp patients and families understand the admission process and what to expectCommunicate upcoming admissions to Nursing, Therapy, Dietary, Business Office, and other appropriate departmentsTrack referrals and admission statusMaintain accurate records and documentationAssist with follow-up calls and referral communicationProvide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and referral partnersSupport the Admissions and Marketing team with administrative and coordination needsAssist with facility tours and inquiries as neededHelp ensure patients and families receive a warm, organized welcome upon arrival What We're Looking For Has strong customer service and communication skillsIs highly organized with excellent attention to detailCan manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentIs professional and comfortable communicating with patients, families, hospital staff, and healthcare professionalsHas strong computer and documentation skillsIs dependable and demonstrates excellent follow-throughCan work independently while remaining an active part of the teamHas a positive, outgoing, and professional attitudeUnderstands the importance of confidentiality and professionalismHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in Healthcare, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred Don't have direct admissions experience?
