Admissions and Gift Shop Attendant

About the role

City Museum is seeking Admissions and Gift Shop Attendants to join our Retail team. Benefits include a free season pass for team members and discounted tickets for friends and family.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist with their shopping experience
• Sell daily admission, season passes, and all other products in an efficient and friendly manner
• Sell various merchandise
• Receive payment by credit cards, vouchers, gift cards or automatic debits
• Offer additional products to enhance the park experience
• Have excellent payment handling skills for quick, friendly, and enjoyable transactions
• Maintain sales displays
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees
• Provide superior guest service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner
• Aid customers with questions about City Museum including facility layout and amenities
• Follow all park policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Ability to operate a computer and computer software programs
• Approachable, outgoing, and enthusiastic about suggestive selling
• Ability to accept guidance and supervision
• Effective communication skills with the public, customers, and staff members
• Awareness, attentiveness, and teamwork skills
• Energy and enthusiasm for long days
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 25 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs
