About the role
City Museum is seeking Admissions and Gift Shop Attendants to join our Retail team. Benefits include a free season pass for team members and discounted tickets for friends and family.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a smile and assist with their shopping experience
- Sell daily admission, season passes, and all other products in an efficient and friendly manner
- Sell various merchandise
- Receive payment by credit cards, vouchers, gift cards or automatic debits
- Offer additional products to enhance the park experience
- Have excellent payment handling skills for quick, friendly, and enjoyable transactions
- Maintain sales displays
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees
- Provide superior guest service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner
- Aid customers with questions about City Museum including facility layout and amenities
- Follow all park policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to operate a computer and computer software programs
- Approachable, outgoing, and enthusiastic about suggestive selling
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Effective communication skills with the public, customers, and staff members
- Awareness, attentiveness, and teamwork skills
- Energy and enthusiasm for long days
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 25 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs
