Admission Counselor I

The Opportunity

An Admission Counselor I enrolls students into Undergraduate and Graduate degree programs at SNHU and will report to the Admission Team Lead/Director. You will receive inquiries such as emails, live chats, and telephone calls through a variety of marketing channels and will assist students through the enrollment process, being a liaison to other campus departments and serving as the student's advocate. This is a remote position.

Requirements

• Associates degree/some college coursework must be completed. Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree acceptable: ☒ Yes ☐ No
• Candidates must reside in an approved Synergy state within the Central, Eastern, Mountain, or Pacific time zones. Hawaii is not eligible for consideration for this position.
• Anticipated Start Date: Tuesday, 9/8/2026
• Training and Nesting Schedule - First 5 Weeks of Employment: Monday - Friday Central Candidates: 7:30am - 4:00pm Eastern Candidates: 8:30am - 5:00pm Mountain Candidates: 9:00am - 5:30pm Pacific & Arizona Candidates: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Work Schedule: Flexible to work either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday. Schedule beginning week 6 of employment and forward:
• Central Candidates: (4) shifts from 8:00am - 4:30pm and (1) shift from 10:30am - 7:00pm
• Eastern Candidates: (4) shifts between the operating hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm and (1) shift from 11:30am - 8:00pm
• Mountain Candidates: (4) shifts from 8:00am - 4:30pm and (1) shift from 9:30am - 6:00pm
• Pacific & Arizona Candidates: (5) shifts from 8:30am - 5:00pm Pacific

Qualifications

• Flexible to work either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.
• Operate within and will be measured concerning relationship building, call flow and pipeline management, interpersonal/communication, needs analysis/service and support, planning, and implementing.
• Partner with departments outside of Admission including Financial Aid, Enrollment Support Services, and Advising to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student; Escalate issues.
• Uphold all SNHU policies, procedures, with integrity and ethics.

Skills

• Conduct phone interviews with prospective students (evaluate the prospective student's needs, interests and qualifications while providing concise information to help the prospective student make an informed decision on program offering, delivery mode, and school fit)
• Engage with students by phone, email, and other communication channels
• Present information about SNHU, program offerings, structure, accreditation, and cost in an accurate and ethical manner
• Achieve the expected goals including: Daily activity, Schedule Adherence, Ready Time, Call Outline Adherence, Call and Email Flow, Service and Support, Compliance, and Program Knowledge

Compensation The hourly pay range for this position is $17.45 - $27.92. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. The starting pay for this position is $21.55.
