Administrator in Training (AIT)
About the role
Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is excited to welcome an Administrator-in-Training to learn from our seasoned Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Under the supervision of our administrator, you will learn the day-to-day operations of running a skilled nursing facility while better understanding the departments and personnel that make up the team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with managing day-to-day operations.
- Impose yourself in the laws and regulations on a federal and state level.
- Understand how to build bonds and trust with residents and their loved ones.
- Communicate with team members to understand their role and how it impacts the facility.
- Fulfill your required hours to sit for your exam.

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in appropriate education to meet the state requirement for the program such as healthcare or business administration.
- Prior experience working in skilled nursing or another healthcare setting is preferred.
Qualifications
- The ability to read, write, understand, and speak the English language.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills as well as the ability to make decisions independently.
- The ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, staff, government agencies, and the general public.
- The willingness to accommodate the schedule of the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
