About the Role
Responsible for all aspects of distribution center (DC) payroll, from paperwork to pay-sheet processing, Kronos timeclock maintenance, and development and statistical reporting from the Kronos timeclock and PeopleSoft system. This role includes regular auditing and reporting.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $23.08 - $31.73 per hour. The range depends on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. Other rewards may vary by position and location.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of payroll for distribution centers, including new hires, maintenance of associate payroll records, separations, and payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes/Oxley regulations for payroll processes.
- Provide payroll training to the DC Payroll Assistant to ensure backup availability.
- Accurately enter annual/bi-annual Focal Review increases into Kronos.
- Provide Blue Chip data to agency and Corporate Payroll as required.
- Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time to all required parties:
- Daily: Exception reports to clear missed punches in Kronos; missing hours to finance by 9:00 AM.
- Weekly/Monthly: Ensure accuracy of associate data through cross-referencing between systems.
- Maintain and update Kronos department listings in Excel and ensure updates are reflected in Kronos and PeopleSoft.
- Assist DC production staff with payroll, attendance tracking, and personnel policy questions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Kronos timekeeping system maintenance, handling updates for missed punches, PTO, transfers, change of status, W-4 updates, new hires, and direct deposits.
- Interface Kronos bi-weekly payroll information with PeopleSoft for processing.
- Conduct audits to validate accuracy before payroll closure.
- Process terminations and off-cycle requests for Non-Exempt staff.
- Maintain Kronos department listings and compile/submit Exempt Blue Chip and Supervisor Saturday Worked bonus files.
- Provide accurate and friendly customer service by answering associates' payroll questions at the payroll window.

Requirements
- 1-3 years of payroll and/or timekeeping experience.
- Degree preferred.
- Ability to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and possess a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- 10-key by touch.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files.
- Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
- Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
