About the role
This position leads and supervises nursing care on designated units, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations. The role develops quality, cost‑effective patient‑care strategies, supports departmental goals, manages personnel and budgets, and oversees regulatory activities and Electronic Medical Records. It emphasizes fostering positive staff relations, mentoring, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing performance issues. Strategic planning, fiscal accountability, service excellence, and risk management are key components. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality, cost‑effective patient‑care strategies.
- Support departmental goals and align nursing practice with organizational objectives.
- Manage personnel, including hiring, scheduling, mentoring, performance evaluations, and addressing performance issues.
- Oversee budgets, fiscal accountability, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain and oversee accurate Electronic Medical Records documentation.
- Promote evidence‑based practice and continuous quality improvement.
- Foster positive staff relations and a collaborative work environment.
- Participate in strategic planning, risk management, and service‑excellence initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and patient safety.
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and interpersonal skills.
