Responsibilities

  • Supports the daily operations of Campus Life office space that supports student conduct, case management, basic needs initiatives, non-traditional and transfer student support, and programs serving former foster youth.
  • Serves as a central administrative and customer service hub for multiple functional areas, providing professional, confidential, and student-centered support.
  • Ensures efficient office operations while supporting students, families, campus partners, and staff in a respectful, welcoming, and trauma-informed manner.
  • Manages front-desk operations, records management, scheduling, correspondence, and administrative processes.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment when handling sensitive information, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-traffic environment.

Requirements

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Administrative Support Specialist I: 1 year of clerical/customer service experience.
  • Administrative Support Specialist II: 2 years of clerical/customer service experience.
  • Senior Administrative Support Specialist: 3 years of clerical/customer service experience.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and various other products in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in managing confidential and sensitive situations.
  • Ability to prioritize and work autonomously in a high-traffic environment.
  • Demonstrated history of initiative and ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work with various populations.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
