About the role
The Per Diem Healthcare Project Manager provides flexible administrative support for healthcare leadership and teams. This role is responsible for independently managing assigned tasks, projects, and initiatives from inception through completion, ensuring deadlines are met, stakeholders are informed, and deliverables are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position works closely with clinical, administrative, and executive leaders to support operational excellence, process improvement, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage application process for Article 28 Certificate of Need (CON) applications for new sites.
- Accept and manage assigned projects and tasks through successful completion.
- Develop project timelines, track milestones, and proactively monitor progress.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners as needed to achieve project goals.
- Identify barriers to completion and escalate issues appropriately.
- Provide regular status updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, action plans, and progress reports.
- Maintain organized project files and records.
- Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparation of agendas and minutes.
- Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare/FQHC environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Pay
$70 – 75 per hour
Schedule
Per diem/as-needed position. Flexible hours based on organizational needs and project requirements. May include remote, hybrid, or on-site work depending on assignment.
