About the role
The Administrative Support Coordinator at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta supports the Center Director by coordinating administrative practices, business and data management, and registration and billing processes for one of the region’s largest non-profits focused on education, wellness, youth development, and community-building.
Responsibilities
- Handle registration, tuition/CAPS billing, payment processing, and collections.
- Conduct tours and communicate all aspects of the program to families.
- Maintain accurate daily/weekly tuition accounting and generate reports according to company guidelines.
- Keep front office areas neat and clean at all times.
- Provide on-site supervision in conjunction with—and in the absence of—the Center Director, including parent communication, staff supervision, and prompt decision-making.
- Conduct weekly facility checks to ensure compliance with Bright from the Start (BFTS) and Metro Atlanta YMCA guidelines.
- Document and report equipment repair or replacement needs to the Facility Manager and Leadership.
- Attend required trainings related to the scope of work.
- Maintain and report incident/accident paperwork in accordance with BFTS and Metro Atlanta YMCA policies.
- Interpret and disseminate the organization’s policies and procedures within the position’s scope.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of administrative support experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to build relationships and interact positively with management, employees, volunteers, vendors, parents, and others.
- Must obtain CPR/AED certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Child Development, Human Resources, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a child development center or academic environment.
- Workday experience.
- Non-profit experience.
- Knowledge of family dynamics, community agencies, and resources that serve families.
