Administrative Support Coordinator

Responsibilities
- Coordinates office workflow and provides administrative support for the Department of Computer Science.
- Assists with scheduling, including building class schedules using SOLAR.
- Records time and faculty labor; monitors the condition of department labs and instructional facilities.
- Tracks loaner laptop equipment and manages equipment repairs and replacements.
- Provides work direction and training to student assistants.
- Supports students by processing course add/drop requests, permission numbers, and restricted class forms.
- Orders supplies and materials for the department office, labs, classrooms, and faculty.
- Answers and directs inquiries about computer science programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including maintaining enrollment waitlists, coordinating faculty evaluations, reserving rooms and A/V equipment, and updating departmental informational posters.
Requirements
- Equivalent to four (4) years of full-time, general office clerical and administrative support experience.
- Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in a business or job-related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Skills
- Knowledge of academic scheduling and administrative systems, including building and revising class schedules, processing scheduling updates, maintaining faculty time and labor records, generating reports, and accessing student records.
- Skill in coordinating faculty, student assistant, and instructional support activities, including establishing work priorities, providing training, and tracking departmental equipment.
- Knowledge of student services and academic procedures, including processing course add/drop requests, permission numbers, and restricted class forms.
- Skill in coordinating equipment, purchasing, and office operations, including reserving and tracking loaner laptops, ordering supplies, and maintaining requisition records.

Pay
The anticipated hiring range is $4,047 - $4,211 per month, dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is $4,047 - $5,896 per month.
Schedule
- Full-time; 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- May include evenings and weekends.
- Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- Currently hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote), subject to change based on operational needs.
