Administrative Support Assistant, Central Office
About the role
The Pennsylvania State University, Residence Life, seeks an Administrative Support Assistant to serve as the first point of contact, manage routine communications, and coordinate unit needs across the Commonwealth.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, provide information, and refer as appropriate.
- Screen and process routine telephone communications, mail, and requests.
- Schedule and maintain a calendar of appointments, meetings, travel itineraries, etc.
- Maintain budget, process financial transactions, track expenditures.
- Cook up travel arrangements, make reservations, and process reimbursements.
- Maintain files and databases; assemble and format data to create simple reports.
- Prepare documents, meeting materials, and correspondence.
- Update and make routine changes to web pages.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitive information and materials.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes.
- Compose and edit written communication.
- Maintain inventory and order or purchase office supplies.
Requirements
General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
