About the role
Reporting to the Assistant Dean and Medical Director in the School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM), the Administrative Specialist provides administrative, clerical, and facilities-related support services to TUSPM’s Health Services Division—specifically the Foot and Ankle Institute (FAI), Temple Total Therapy (T3), and satellite practices—in an accurate, timely, and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, and maintain clinical training orientation materials.
- Assist in the preparation and dissemination of clinical faculty and student schedules in the FAI.
- Manage the schedule of the Assistant Dean and Medical Director.
- Initiate purchase requisitions and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Schedule and facilitate departmental meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Two years’ experience in an academic and/or health care setting preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills
- Organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently, communicate clearly and effectively, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Customer service orientation and project management skills.
- Able to interact with professionalism and tact under stress.
- Proficient with applications such as Microsoft Office and able to adapt to new technology.
