About The Role
We are seeking experienced healthcare administrative professionals with hands-on expertise in the operational workflows that support medical practices, hospitals, and health plans. The role focuses on the administrative lifecycle of healthcare operations, including patient access, insurance and authorizations, claims and revenue cycle processes, provider and payer operations, health information, and practice administration. You should have direct experience managing one or more of these workflows using the systems and tools involved in day-to-day healthcare operations.
Core Workflows
Your experience should include ownership of one or more of the following areas:
- Patient Access & Front-End: Registration, scheduling, insurance and eligibility verification, benefits interpretation, intake, and referral management.
- Prior Authorizations & Utilization Support: Initiating, submitting, and tracking authorizations through payer portals.
- Claims & Revenue Cycle: Claim submission and tracking, denials and appeals, A/R follow-up, and rejection resolution.
- Remittance & Payment Posting: Electronic remittance advice (ERA), payment posting, and reconciliation against clinical charges.
- Provider & Payer Operations: Credentialing, provider enrollment, payer configuration, appeals and grievances, and member/provider services.
- Health Information & Practice Administration: Medical records administration, release of information, and day-to-day practice or office operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of daily, hands-on experience in a healthcare administrative or back-office role.
- Currently working in a healthcare administrative position.
- Direct experience with relevant healthcare systems, such as:
- Payer portals including Availity, Optum/Change Healthcare, Waystar, Office Ally, UHC Link, BCBS, or Aetna.
- EHR and practice-management platforms.
- Healthcare clearinghouses.
- Based in the United States.

Contract & Payment Terms
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Fully remote and completed on your own schedule.
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on project needs and performance.
- Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
- Payments are made weekly through Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
