Administrative Specialist (IRA Residential Services)
About the role
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Red Hook, NY, this position will provide administrative support to the IRA Residential Leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.
- Perform duties in a confidential manner, and be responsive to customer needs.
- Compose routine correspondence; prepare schedules and forms; edit material to ensure correct spelling and punctuation; and file and/or distribute materials appropriately.
- Answer the telephone, screen calls, record messages, provide information, and route calls to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain records and prepare reports for submission to funding agencies, accreditation agencies, parents/legal guardians, other departments, etc.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes, including tracking action items through completion.
- Establish and maintain various file systems.
- Use thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Associates degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- One year office experience in similar setting performing similar duties required.
- Previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.

Pay
(Commensurate with education and experience)
- With HS Diploma/GED - $22.50 - $24.07 per hour
- With BA/BS - $23.50 - $25.14 per hour
- With MA/MS or higher - $24.50 - $26.21 per hour
