Administrative Selection Process
Application Information
Applications are accepted from August through June each contract year.
Eligibility: Be enrolled in a university administrative and/or leadership program, OR have a current in-state or out-of-state administrative license.
Step 1: Unpaid Administrative Internship Application
- Complete the Unpaid Administrative Internship application at this link.
- Placement Processing: Human Resources will assign placements and job shadow placements.
- Notification: Applicants will be notified via email.
- Note: Unpaid administrative internship placements cannot be honored at the educator's current school location.
- Note: Unpaid administrative internship hours must be completed during off-contract time or outside regular school assignments.
- Note: Prospective interns from outside Jordan must complete a BCI background check before being assigned a placement.

- Administrative Internship placements made by the prospective intern may not be honored.
- Administrative Internships are intended to be a one-year placement.
- Administrative Internships are a 187-day contract on the Teacher Salary Schedule.
- Elementary placements receive 20 additional days, while secondary placements receive 10 additional days.
- Internal JSD candidates chosen as an intern will have the right to return to a licensed position for which they are qualified at the conclusion of their intern year if not selected for an Administrative placement.

Eligibility for Administrative Full-Time Paid Internship
Eligibility: Be enrolled in a university administrative and/or leadership program, OR have a current in-state or out-of-state administrative license.
Step 1: Administrative Full-Time Paid Internship Application
- Complete the Administrative Full-Time Paid Internship application in Frontline at this link.
- Provide 3 references meeting specific criteria.
- Your application will not be processed until all 3 required references are completed and returned.
- References will receive an email from Mailbot@applitrack.com requesting they complete the Administrative Reference Form on your behalf.
- The video portion of the application is required.

- Administrative Internships are intended to be a one-year placement.
- Administrative Internships are a 187-day contract on the Teacher Salary Schedule.
- Elementary placements receive 20 additional days, while secondary placements receive 10 additional days.

April Interviews: Application opens February 18th, 2027 and closes March 4th, 2027 at 11:59 P.M.
Eligibility for Administrative Pool
Eligibility: Have completed 5 years of experience in education, AND hold a current administrative license/endorsement by August 1st of the upcoming contract year.
Step 1: Administrative Pool Application
- Complete the Administrative Pool application in Frontline at this link.
- Provide 3 references meeting specific criteria.
- Your application will not be processed until all 3 required references are completed and returned.
- References will receive an email from Mailbot@applitrack.com requesting they complete the Administrative Reference Form on your behalf.

Optional Step 3: Situational Presentation
Administrative Pool applicants may be scheduled for a 20-minute situational presentation based on a specific topic determined by the Administrative Cabinet.
Offer and Placement of Successful Candidates
Following STEP 2 or 3 of the selection process, a candidate may be accepted into the Administrative Pool. These notifications will be made by phone from a member of the Administrative Cabinet. Accepted candidates will remain in the Administrative Pool for two years and then must reapply.
Eligibility for Optional Interest Interview
Eligibility: Must be a current director, consultant, or assistant principal with Jordan School District, and have not been interviewed for a Principal position in the last four years.

Annual interviews are held in November.
