Administrative Report Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Administrative Report Technician with good communication skills and strong analytical knowledge to support water meter performance and accuracy. This includes analyzing water meter performance through multiple programs and communicating information to correct departments for proper follow-up, along with communication with customers. This role also leads and maintains Loudoun Water’s Hydrant Meter Rental Program.

Responsibilities

• Leads, plans, organizes, coordinates, and enforces Loudoun Water’s Hydrant Meter Rental Program, including outside truck inspections.
• Analyze the Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Meter Data Management System, and Business Intelligence Reports, and process Work Orders promptly.
• Analyze meter usage data for irregular usage patterns.
• Notify customers of potential leaks.
• Create and complete work orders.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school (an associate degree is preferred).
• Three years’ experience in progressively responsible and complex utility billing and technical assignments.
• Three years of direct customer service experience, preferably with a public utility.
• System knowledge and strong analytical skills.
• Advanced education may be substituted for some work experience.
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.

Special Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification and other certifications as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime as required to carry out job responsibilities and duties.
• Full-time office environment with occasional work outside in all weather conditions as needed.

Pay

$54,400 - $70,400 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
