Administrative Coordinator, Weekends -VCVH (Full Time, Day)

About the role

The Weekend Administrative Coordinator (AC) at NorthBay Health is a registered nurse with demonstrated clinical expertise and supervisory experience. They work under the supervision of the Manager and Director, Acute Care and Clinical Support Services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and is accountable for the administrative, clinical, and ancillary activities within the hospital for a specified shift.
• Affords assistance in the timely and accurate placement of patients requiring acute care admission, transfers, and all aspects of patient movement and coordination of care.
• Affirms the activities of the hospital in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensures compliance with and participates in the hospital’s performance improvement plan and infection control plan both as a resource and through assigned duties.
• Manages the hospital with front-line leadership, resource management, and short-term plan design and implementation to meet needs for delivery of patient care and staff.
• Holds staff accountable to adhere to standards of practice utilizing The NorthBay Way.
• Utilizes Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, the Relationship-Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model to promote and support a transparent and collaborative environment.
• Supports the mission, vision, values, and expectations of excellence of the organization.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
• BSN required unless current employee with Grandfather Status.
• Valid and current RN license by the State of California.
• Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• Minimum of three years of acute care experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills in the English language.
• Understanding of policies governing admissions, unit-specific admissions, observation status, and compliance.
• Understanding of EMTALA regulations.
• Excellent clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent critical thinking ability.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Organization and follow-through skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions rapidly.
• Good problem-solving ability.

Qualifications

Compensation Structure

• Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role.
• Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan.
• Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
