Administrative Coordinator I
Responsibilities
- Aid the Administrative/Project/Program Manager and staff in implementing and administering Center and department/project(s)/program policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison with Center staff and outside individuals/organizations, addressing questions and resolving problems regarding department/project(s)/program administration.
- Supervise administrative and clerical staff, including hiring, training, delegation of responsibilities, performance evaluations, and handling discipline and termination issues.
- Coordinate personnel administration functions such as submission of employment requisitions, salary administration, payroll processing, separations, coordination of performance evaluations, and various personnel form completion.
- Coordinate project space and facilities, managing changes as needed.
- Manage acquisition, maintenance, storage, and supply of equipment.
- Coordinate the production, printing, and distribution of new and revised Center and department/project(s)/program manuals.
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures related to department/project(s)/program administration.
- Perform administrative and clerical responsibilities including scheduling meetings, conferences, and seminars; collecting and compiling billing and statistical information; composing memos, reports, and minutes; establishing and maintaining department/project(s)/program files; producing/overseeing the production of manuscripts and publications.
- Assist the Administrative/Project/Program Manager and Investigators with special projects.
Qualifications
- Requires High School/GED and five years of administrative or relevant experience OR equivalent education/experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience building working relationships virtually and in person with internal and external partners; proven ability to engage individuals on the phone, by email, and in person; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; highly developed organizational and information management skills; critical thinking and creative problem solving; ability to handle and respect confidential and sensitive information.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is from $31.26 to $44.51 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
