About the role

The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to perform a variety of high-level administrative, operational, and board support services for the Planning Department.

Responsibilities

  • Captures and oversees administrative support activities
  • Provides day-to-day supervision for administrative assistants within the Planning Department
  • Develops meeting schedules and prepares and reviews agendas and board packets
  • Attends various meetings; records, prepares, and maintains official minutes and related records
  • Serves as the primary administrative liaison
  • Coordinates department-wide administrative operations
  • Maintains and monitors departmental administrative processes and recommends improvements
  • Assists with development and administration of the departmental budget
  • Provides information and assistance to the public

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is flexible to accommodate the needs of the position and the Town of Hilton Head Island.
