Responsibilities
- Develop and implement postsecondary education programs by collaborating with educational institutions to offer accredited courses and pathways that meet the educational and rehabilitative needs of inmates.
- Foster relationships with colleges, universities, and vocational schools.
- Promote awareness of the programs to stakeholders.
- Supervise and assist employees, while being responsible for their performance evaluations.
- Lead and manage special projects aimed at improving educational outcomes.
- Initiate and oversee new educational programs and pilot projects.
- Explore and integrate innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Collaborate to identify and apply for grants and funding opportunities.
- Establish metrics for program success and conduct regular evaluations to gather data to support the efficiency of implemented programs.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to improve program quality.

Qualifications
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
- Five years of professional administrative experience.
- A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Additional administrative, business or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
