By joining our Division of Driver Licensing as a Administrative Branch Manager in Floyd County, you’ll have the opportunity to serve in a key leadership role responsible for the operational oversight of five Regional Driver Licensing offices. In this position, you will guide daily branch operations, support staff development, ensure consistent application of statewide policies, and foster a customer focused culture across multiple locations. Summary Of Responsibilities Regional Operations Management and Oversight - Oversee the supervision and implementation of all staff and programs within the Region Branch ensuring quality customer service and efficient operations. Responsible for assuring compliance with Division and Cabinet policies and procedures. Responsible for conducting performance appraisals, approving leave requests and timesheets. Administrative Oversight and Program Compliance - Provide administrative oversight to regional office employees and supervisors through accurate interpretation and application of policies and procedures as required by law. Ensures proper administration of the Real ID requirements and driver licenses are issued in a secure, consistent, and compliant manner. Ensures staff receive appropriate training, coaching, and guidance to maintain compliance and operational consistency. Regional Office Facility Management and Workplace Safety Compliance - Ensures all leased regional office properties are properly maintained, safe, and fully operational to support employees and customers. Oversees facility conditions, identifies maintenance needs, coordinates with landlords and central office staff, and ensures compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations. Maintains proactive communication with office leadership to address facility concerns promptly and prevent disruptions to service delivery. Operational Analysis, Process Improvement, Administrative Reporting, Records Oversight - Analyzes branch operations and recommends policy and procedural changes to increase operating efficiency. Requests subordinates to research and compile administrative reports as needed and oversees the maintenance of all branch operating records. Employee Relations and Performance Management - Reviews supervisory subordinate's recommendations for disciplinary action, and investigates and takes appropriate measures consistent with laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In Leadership experience — Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop staff in a multi site or high volume operational environment. Operational management — Experience overseeing daily operations, managing workflow, and ensuring consistent service delivery across multiple locations. Policy and compliance knowledge — Familiarity with applying statutes, regulations, and administrative procedures within a public sector or regulated environment. Performance management — Proven ability to monitor performance metrics, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement. Customer service leadership — Experience fostering a professional, customer focused culture and resolving escalated service issues. Communication and collaboration — Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with regional and central office leadership. Problem solving and decision making — Ability to assess operational challenges, evaluate options, and implement sound, timely decisions. Organizational skills — Strong planning, prioritization, and time management abilities to support operations across multiple offices. Additional position information (travel required, standing/stooping/bending/lifting, sitting at a desk, etc.) This position primarily involves sedentary work performed in an office setting, including extended periods of sitting, computer use, and administrative tasks. The role may require minimal lifting of materials or equipment associated with routine office operations. Occasional travel with overnight stays may be necessary to support regional operations, attend meetings, or participate in training. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional administrative experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
