About the role
The Administration Assistant/Receptionist will perform a variety of receptionist and administrative duties in the front office. Provides support for administrative staff. Upholds the Mission Statement of Bethany Lutheran Homes, Inc. and performs all duties in a manner consistent with Bethany Lutheran Homes, Inc. Core Values.
Essential Job Functions
- Attends to general office duties, including answering phones, forwarding calls to proper staff, ensuring necessary forms are in ample supply, filing and typing
- Acts as an ambassador and public relations representative to guests and other facility visitors
- Affords assistance with administrative duties related to admission and discharge of residents as requested
- Affords assistance with sales in store and stocking of store
- Maintains knowledge of vacancies, rental costs and the proper way to provide tours. Provides tours for potential clients when requested by supervisor
- Responsible for resident billing with other departments, including food service, admissions, nursing services, and other miscellaneous charges. Actual billing to be completed in Bethany Lutheran Homes, Inc. corporate office
- Responsible for business transactions involving cash, including petty cash for Eagle Crest South
- Codifies equipment connections and changes related to moves, changes for residents and offices with the maintenance department. Requires computer work and coordination with admissions to ensure timely equipment changes for residents
What You’ll Need
- 1 - 2 years Administrative Assistant experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree and/or college level office management courses beneficial
- Office management and/or basic accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Excellent typing skills
- Demonstrated compatibility with Bethany Lutheran Homes’ mission and values
Compensation
$19.00 - $21.00 based on qualifications and experience
